Dayna Martin: Repurpose Your World!

Over the last year, I've really delved into my creative, artsy side. To be honest, I never knew I had one! I began becoming brave and trying new things, like painting and crafting more difficult projects than what I have done with the kids over the years. I discovered a new love for "Repurposing" and have been enjoying the evolution of my consciousness and creativity over this last year. It has been incredibly powerful! I invite you to explore this side of yourself if it appeals to you. You may begin to heal from aspects of your past that you didn't know needed healing and releasing. I am so grateful to my family and friends who always continue to support me in my evolution.

I built this Murphy Desk in our kitchen out of a pallet today. This used to be where we'd hang our coats. I also took off the door from the kitchen to the living room and replaced it with this door that has a window so when you are at the desk you can see into the other room. It took me all day to complete this project. I couldn't have done it without Devin's help! I love it so much! It is a special little nook where I can read my cookbooks and have my own quiet space, but still be connected with everyone if they are in the living room.

I sewed doilies on a few pillows.

I made this crazy dream-catcher with leftover ribbon
I painted the baseboard in the kitchen green to look like grass then painted stems and leaves of flowers. Then used colorful buttons as the flowers and hot glued them on.  It came out adorable!
